And: looking for session chairs and Q&A moderators
IPRES 2024 offers an incredible line-up of community contributions, featuring 55 papers among other exciting formats.
The papers, covering both research and practice in digital preservation, present their own twist to our three key conference themes:
Consider reading some of these papers as optional homework to enhance your understanding before the event—or to help you navigate the programme more effectively!
Looking for an one-page overview of all papers organised by theme? Or, alternatively, curious about papers aligned with digital preservation skills that you want to improve? This year’s contributions are sorted into 9 categories, each representing a different competency from the well-known DPC framework.
Explore the papers relevant to your area of interest and deepen your knowledge in preparation for the conference! All papers will be presented, either by a remote presenter or by in the venue by one of the authors.
As you know, a great conference experience depends on more than just the person presenting… You can contribute a lot as Q&A moderator or session chair.
The core task of a Q&A moderator is to encourage the engagement of the remote audience and to qualify incoming questions via Floq, our conference app.
The core task of a session chair is to introduce the presenters and pick up on the questions that the Q&A moderator has qualified.
For the in-person presentations, both need to be present on site. For remote sessions, obviously, this is not required.
