iPRES Best Contribution by First Time Attendee 2024

All submitters for iPRES2024, in all formats except papers, could opt into a special prize for contributions by first time attendees. Based on a ranking of the reviewer ratings, this prize is awarded irrespective of formats and tracks.

This year, a great number of first time attendees were presenting in one of the many formats. The jury wanted to commend the work of 3 submissions in particular:

• Self-Preservation: Stress and Its Impacts on Digital Preservationists in Canada, a Poster by Brett Lougheed and Aynslie Hinds

• FAIRVault: An Interuniversity Project on Creating a Restricted Access Data Archive, a Poster by Nicky Daniels, Jacob Laureyns, Kevin Michael Leonard and 7 others

• Century Scale Data Storage, a Tool Demo by Steffen Hellmold in the Great Preservation Bake-Off
