Margaret Black & Joseph Matta (Bridgewater State University) for #327 - Emulating the Zenith Z-100 Computer
All submitters for iPRES2024, in all formats except papers, could opt into a special prize for contributions by first time attendees. Based on a ranking of the reviewer ratings, this prize is awarded irrespective of formats and tracks.
This year, a great number of first time attendees were presenting in one of the many formats. The jury wanted to commend the work of 3 submissions in particular:
Self-Preservation: Stress and Its Impacts on Digital Preservationists in Canada, a Poster by Brett Lougheed and Aynslie Hinds
FAIRVault: An Interuniversity Project on Creating a Restricted Access Data Archive, a Poster by Nicky Daniels, Jacob Laureyns, Kevin Michael Leonard and 7 others
Century Scale Data Storage, a Tool Demo by Steffen Hellmold in the Great Preservation Bake-Off
This prize is sponsored by DPC and was handed over by William Kilbride and previous winners Martin Weise, Elisa Rodenburg & Maureen Kenga.
Congratulations to the winners:
