Instructions for Papers
·

We invite research and practice papers for the main conference program.

Papers are full-length treatments of any subject in digital preservation, either original research or lessons learned in preservation practice or any combination of the two.

The paper can span between 2500 and 7500 words. There is no direct link between the length of the paper and the amount of presentation time that will be available at the conference. At least one of the authors should present at the conference in 15 to 30 minutes and be available for Q&A on site or online.

How to Submit a Paper

Papers are due by 17 March 2024. Submitting is a two-stage process:

  • Submitters must first fill out the “call for abstracts” form in Indico.

    • All collaborators should be identified in the form and included as co-authors and presenters. At least one of the co-authors should be marked as presenter.

    • Your abstract will receive a “soft accept”, which grants you access to the peer review module.

  • Next, use the mandatory iPRES Word template to prepare your paper.

    • You submit your paper in Indico.

    • Your paper will be reviewed by at least three reviewers. You should expect revisions to be required.

How to Finalize an Accepted Paper

Detailed instructions will be given to accepted paper authors to prepare the final version for the proceedings.
