What to expect
We are pleased to offer a variety of guided visits and demonstrations in Leuven. Leuven is a medieval city near Brussels holding the oldest and largest university (KU Leuven) of the low countries (1425°).
Participants are invited to choose one of the four possibilities in the morning and/or in the afternoon. You are free to explore the city during lunch time.
Walk in the historical center of Leuven Town Hall, Collegial church of St. Peter, University Hall, College of pope Adrianus VI, walk Naamsestraat with the university colleges and finally the Great Beguinage (World Heritage Unesco)
Guided visit and demonstrations of digital preservation and digital accessibility of the collections State Archives Leuven, City Archives Leuven, University Archives KU Leuven, KADOC in collaboration with LIBIS.
Guided visit and demonstrations Digital lab KU Leuven Libraries and Book Heritage Lab in the Maurits Sabbe Library in collaboration with LIBIS.
Guided visit (by bus, kindly offered by the organisers of the visit) Alamire Library of Voices and Park Abbey/Parcum
Stay around for the closing drink with a beer degustation at the historical Town Hall.

You can easily reach the location by public transport. The meeting point is only a 15-minute walk from Leuven Railway Station.
